~ ABOUT THE AUTHOR ~
Cynthia P. O'Neill

I grew up in a small town in South Florida called Clewiston and moved to Central Florida to attend college. I married my friend, love, and soul mate and still reside in the area with our amazing son, and a feisty, four-legged little doggie boy.

In my books, I draw on my background in healthcare, business, and science, along with my husband's engineering and wireless technology knowledge.
I currently write on all levels of Romance. The Learning Series is for those who like a little more steam with their books, falling into the categories of Contemporary and verging on Erotica, with a hint of Suspense. The Remembrance Series encompasses Young Adult, with a touch of Paranormal activity and a hint of Historical romance. A new contemporary romance series is underway, called Need. It will be different than the others, because each book will focus on a new couple, while all of the characters will still have a large presence throughout the series.

I try to make my writing very personal and close to her heart. Regular life is the inspiration for my books, but I'm only limited by imagination taking ideas to new heights, opening up possibilities that would normally not exist.

On a more personal note...I love to cook and create in the kitchen and on the bbq grill. I sometimes lose myself in a song at the piano. I often sing with my son while we are driving or making dinner together. I enjoy crafts (flower arranging, making wreaths, painting pottery, needle point and drawing in pencil and charcoals). My music tastes are eclectic at best, ranging from classical piano to hard rock/heavy metal. It all depends on the song, group, and if it has a good beat or is a soulful ballad.

5 Stars
This is what you call a perfect ending to a really great series!  This had me on the edge of my seat and waiting for the action that I knew would be inevitable.  The author did not disappoint.  To me, the characters and scenes felt like they were more developed in this book than the previous 2 so it made it that much more enjoyable to read.  I loved and enjoyed all the different places described in the book as well.  There were some really sappy parts where you will need a few tissues for.  They were so very well done that I was just in total awe while reading.  This was a captivating series and you should read it today.

Title: Learning to Let Go (Learning Series #2)
Author: Cynthia P. O'Neil
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Synopsis
Garrett Andrews has controlled every aspect of his life for as long as he can remember. Whatever he wanted, he took, especially when it came to Laurel Hart. She was the first person to make his heart skip a beat and capture his soul, allowing part of his control to slip, which uncovered his lie and destroyed her trust in him.
Laurel now lays battered and broken thanks to Chase Peterson, a stalker from her college days, who won’t accept no for an answer. Garrett is determined to win her back, obsessing over her care in an attempt to heal both her body and her mind. He will go to any lengths to earn back her trust and teach her to let go of the past, but can he follow his own advice and let down his own walls? They struggle to overcome their issues and soon Chase is after her again, fixated on staking his “claim” with a startling revelation that links both the past and present. Can they find happiness with each other or is their too much to overcome? Only time will tell if they can learn to let go.

Excerpt
My heart rate picked up and the closeness I longed for began to fill me as his hands reached down, grabbing hold of my backside and lifting me.

“Wrap your legs around me,” Garrett insisted.

I did what he asked. My arms circled round his neck so he wouldn’t drop me as he walked both of us through the living area of the yacht and into the master bedroom, decorated with the same burgundy fabrics and walnut woods as his beach house. Wow, he really knows how to carry a decorative theme to the extreme.

Garrett sat me down on the bed and took a few steps back so I could look around at my surroundings. I was surprised to see one wall lined with mirrors, reflecting back the image of the room. “Why all the mirrors?”

“My sister, Sarah, suggested them to make the room seem larger than it is. When she’s not designing buildings, she loves to try and decorate for me.”

He moved back and forth across the room, his eyes continually fixated on me as he paced. He looked like a lion getting ready to attack his prey. I could feel the heat pool in my belly and my nipples harden at the anticipation.

“I want you to take your clothes off, Laurel,” he crooned, his voice practically dripping with seduction. “I’m afraid that if I try to help I’ll rip them to shreds.”

Oh my, he is pent up. I stood and started removing my slim jeans. I had to wiggle them off of my hips to get them going; even with the weight loss, my hips had retained their voluptuousness. With each wiggle he groaned a little more and began to undress himself. I reached for my t-shirt and noticed the peaks of my nipples pushing through the bikini top. I tried to turn away to remove my shirt.

“Don’t turn away from me, darling. I need to see all of you.”

I noticed his shirt already on the floor and tossed mine on top of it. He started unzipping his pants as I took off my bikini top and playfully threw it his direction. To my surprise, he caught it in his teeth and growled low in the back of his throat before spitting it out on the floor. He took his waistband in his hands and in one swift move, freed himself of both his jeans and boxer briefs.

“Oh, my.”

He wasn’t kidding about being hard.

This was a great sequel to book 1(Learning to Trust) and I am so glad to have been able to read book 2 right after because book 1 had a killer cliffhanger.  Learning to Let Go has a fantastic ending that you will not be so frustrated with.  The attack as suspected would have set anyone back for quite a while but Laurel is strong and Garret is there to love and protect her and will go to any lengths to have her safe and happy.   Not only did Laurel learn to let go but also in many ways Garret has learned to as well.  I don't want to say much more and spoil anything.  Just know that you have to read this series.  The author has created another magnificent, heart gripping and suspense filled book with a strong, sexy and in depth set of characters.  I am very much anticipating book 3.
