Description:

An eternal Succubus

For centuries she has visited men in their beds, arousing their bodies to harvest nefesh, the life energy that the demon world depends upon. Any man will do, and she has never visited a man twice. Until now.

A mortal man

For weeks Sean Moran has dreamed of a beautiful woman who pleasures his body and ravishes his soul. Afraid that he is losing his mind, he follows a trail of mysteries and magic to an extraordinary conclusion.

One night

In the space between the worlds, Sean and the Succubus come together to experience passion in each other’s arms. But in their union a powerful secret is revealed—one that could endanger their very souls.
Forever.

Excerpt:

Hunger. It pulled at her, a soul-deep craving demanding to be filled. The succubus closed her eyes, tried to it block out, but the ache only intensified. She had gone too long without feeding. It was her duty to travel to the Earthly Plane, visit humans in their beds, and harvest the soul-sustaining nefesh that sustained the demon world. A duty she had performed for centuries without thought. Without question.

Until now.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to feed. Oh no. I want to so badly. To sense a human beneath her. To hear his cries of pleasure and sate herself on his essence. But not just any human. And that was the problem.

One night—was it only a month ago?—she’d sensed a presence stronger than any other, a soul-source so rich and deep that she flew to it like a bee to a flower. She hadn’t stopped to wonder why this soul called out to her as it did. She still could not answer that question.

Her kind fed during dream sex while the human slept. For the mortal it might be a pleasurable experience, transcendent even. For her it was a meal. Some were fast food, others steak—this man was like a gourmet meal laced with crack cocaine. Each night that she had gone to his bed, she'd told herself would be the last. Each time she'd been wrong.

Tonight she would break the spell. Resist feeding as long as she could. Then, when she was weak and desperate for sustenance, she would go to the nearest source. Convince herself to visit another man’s bed.

She was playing a dangerous game. Taking an enormous risk, and not only because she would be punished severely if the Master found out. No, if she went too long without the soul-sustaining nefesh, her Master’s punishments would be the least of her concerns.

Pain shot through her and the scene wavered. She had to go now, before feeding was no longer an option.

She opened her eyes to the rumble-strewn landscape of the Sitra Achra, the Other Side. This desolate plain was at the very edge of the demon realm, where the veil between the worlds was thinnest. Here, she could sense the human souls that pulsed with life on the Earthly Plane. And one soul in particular… To a hungry succubus, the human soulscape should sparkle, like a night sky filled with stars. Instead, the myriad souls faded in comparison to the one whose beacon seemed to glow just for her. Tugging, pleading, his spirit cried out to her. Implored her to join him.

She could no longer deny her need. With a curse and a cry, she descended out of the darkness and flew towards the light.

About the Author:

I write erotic romance because I like to expose my characters completely – strengths, flaws and scars. My debut novella, Revving Her Up, was the first story in the Full Throttle series, which focuses on the bad boys – and girls – of stock car racing. It was a Night Owl Reviews Top Pick, and has been called "one heck of a sexy ride" (Sizzling Hot Books), and "a hell of a sexy read" (Read-Love-Blog). I am currently working on the next two stories in the series.

My newest novel, Nashville Trio, is a steamy MMF ménage novel about a country singer and the two very different men in her life. It comes out May 5, 2014.

New Adult romance is my new favorite passion. I love writing stories with angst and heart, heart-melting kisses, and happy endings. I'm currently working on two New Adults series. The first, Running Scared , is about a Boston University student and the bodyguard hired to protect her from herself. It will be out in August 2014. The second series is a trilogy (Scarred, Burned, and Marked) about three friends bound together by a terrible tragedy and the scars it left behind.

I'm originally from New York City, (and still a loyal Yankees fan!), but since moving south, I've developed passions for NASCAR and country music. Both feature in my recent stories. In addition to writing (and reading) I enjoy yoga, bellydancing, and growing veggies in the Washington, D.C. area with my scientist husband and two curious kids. I'm active in the Washington Romance Writers, and the Maryland Romance Writers, and have been a member of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) since 2009.

Synopsis

He was an obsession. Like an addict, Lydia craved Dominic’s touch . . . . until the day she died. Now, the memories of her time with him are more like nightmares. As Lydia pieces together the events of the past several months, the man who nearly destroyed her will stop at nothing to get her back under his control. After all she has gone through, can she put her trust in another vampire to keep her safe?

Distant and cold, Roman has gone through the motions of life for more than four centuries. No woman has been able to break through the ice encasing his heart . . . . until he saw her. Roman is captivated from the moment he sees Lydia fighting for her life in a hospital room. When his energy mingles with hers, the psychic vampire in him instantly recognizes her as his perfect mate and he will do anything in his power to keep her safe.

Excerpt

Lydia blew out a frustrated breath. “Let’s face facts. Most people could find excuses to say they had a fucked up childhood. What the hell were we talking about? That’s right; the reasons you shouldn’t use me as an example. Not one relationship I’ve been in would be considered normal.”
“You haven’t given up on the idea of love, have you?” he asked.
There was no quick answer to that question. Had she given up on love? Was that the real reason she’d never had what one would call a real boyfriend? Looking at the stack of romance novels, Lydia knew the answer. “No, I haven’t given up on love. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not some hopeless romantic waiting for Mr. Right to sweep me off my feet. Hell, I’ve been with more toads than princes. Doesn’t mean I don’t believe there’s a perfect guy for me.” Her eyes sparkled with mischief. “Of course, I don’t see any reason to avoid having fun until then. Yeah, I totally danced around that question.”
Roman set the book down on the sofa. “No, you answered it very well. You are a very passionate woman. Do you have any idea how much I want you? I want to lose myself in all of that passion you exude. Not for release. Not in an anonymous detached way. Will you let me take you upstairs and bury myself inside of you?”
Those words made her achy and wet in a heartbeat. A breathy, “Yes,” was all she could manage.
Roman stood and walked toward her, as if fearing she might change her mind. “Are you sure? This will change everything. I don’t know how long you’ll have to stay here, but once you let me inside of your body, I won’t be able to stay away.”
Her nipples were so hard that the lacey bra made them ache. “I’m fine with that.”
“Okay, let’s try this role playing thing.” Stepping forward, he jerked her to her feet. “You are my wife which means you belong to me.” He paused and looked a little uncomfortable. “How was that?”
“Good. Just keep that up.” Her voice shook slightly from the combination of nerves and excitement. She started twirling her hair and frowned. The last thing she wanted was to get tied up in her hair.
“Are you sure about this?”
“Yes,” she said quickly.
“Then why are you frowning?”
“I keep twirling my hair and it would totally ruin this if I had to spend ten minutes trying to free my hand,” she explained with a blush.
“Would it help if I tied you to the bed?” he asked with a playful grin.
Despite the obvious teasing twinkle in Roman’s eyes, his words got her more than a little hot. “Maybe we could try that later. No one has ever tied me up, and it’s kind of exciting.”
“The idea is pretty arousing for me too,” he said and his eyes were filled with promise. “Now where were we?”
Lydia worked hard to look angry. She stepped away from him and tossed her head back in a dramatic gesture. “I will never belong to you!”
“Obviously, you need a reminder,” he said and stalked her. Lydia backed away. Her entire body was alive with anticipation. When her back hit the doorframe, she waited breathlessly. Roman gripped her upper arms and brought his lips to within inches of hers. “I look forward to reminding you that you belong to me over and over again.”
Lydia was thankful for the firm grasp on her arms because her legs were a little shaky. Roman was a natural at role playing. “So you’ll force yourself on me? Will that make you feel like the big strong man?”
“Force you?” he said with a chuckle. “You’ll beg me to possess your body in every way imaginable.” Without giving her a chance to reply Roman scooped her up in his arms and carried her to his room. After laying her on the bed there was the awkward moment of trying to get her hair out of the way.
The hair thing was so ridiculous that it made her giggle.
“Am I doing this wrong?” There was an endearing vulnerability in Roman’s voice.
“No,” she said with a smile, “I’m laughing about this hair.”
“Yes,” he said and joined her on the bed, resting his head on one hand. “Beautiful,” he said as his fingers stroked the exposed skin where her shirt had ridden up. “Now, where was I?”
“Making me beg you to take me in every way imaginable, if I remember right.”

Vampires Prefer Blondies

Bake time: 25-30 minutes
Preheat: 350ºF (175ºC).

This recipe was inspired by Lydia’s baking in Vampires Prefer Blondes. When creating this recipe, I tried to keep Lydia’s personality in mind. I used parchment paper to line the pan because Lydia is the type of woman wants a quick clean up. She is also a woman who enjoys a sinfully indulgent treat.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Ingredients:
1 cup butter softened
¼ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Small package vanilla instant pudding
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 ¼ cups flour
1 bag mini chocolate chips

Directions:
Mix butter with brown and white sugar until it has a nice creamy consistency, around 5 minutes. Add eggs, pudding, ¾ cup brown sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well-blended. Add baking soda, salt, and flour. Mix until well-blended and stir in chocolate chips. Take about 40 1/4-1/2 inch chunks of cookie dough and put them in a container to freeze for a couple of hours. This will leave you with extra cookie dough and I highly recommend you drop some larger balls of cookie dough on a cookie sheet and bake them at 375ºF for 11-13 minutes.

Blondie Batter
Ingredients:
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box of yellow cake mix
½ cup milk
1 egg

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. This batter has a very thick consistency. Add in the frozen cookie dough. Spread this into the bottom of an 11x7 baking pan. You can oil the pan or line it with parchment paper. Bake 25-30 minutes. The edges will just be turning brown when it’s time to remove it from the oven. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes before cutting it into squares and serving.

With a quick pace, I give Mrs. Robinson my test and race out of the class only to crash into Duke. “Whoa!! Slow down!” He steadies me with his arms. I chuckle, “Sorry, I’m just happy to get away from Jose. I’m happy this is the last class with him.” “Me, too. He’s gotten in the way of a lot of things and I can’t fucking stand him. It’ll be alright, Raya. He won’t bother you anymore.” He caresses my arm for a few seconds and then pulls away, clearing his throat. “So, uhh, what did Taylor want?” I glance away to avoid his eyes, “He asked me out on a date.” “He finally did it, huh? Took him forever.” My head snaps to look at him, “Wait. What do you mean?” He laughs and shakes his head, “After the Halloween party, he asked me if he should ask you out and I told him to go for it. Honestly, I thought he would have asked you out weeks ago. I don’t know what took him so long.” My heart drops and an unbearable sadness falls over me. “Oh, is that right?” “You know he’s crazy about you. You should give him a chance. He’s a really good guy.” I close my eyes and try to force back the tears that are threatening to escape. My heart aches at the loss of Duke’s affection. All I want is him and I know I won’t ever get it. “I’m not so sure. I like him, but not as much as he likes me. I don’t want to rush anything. Besides, I told him that I can’t make any promises. I’ll be very busy with work during the break and won’t have much free time.” “Ehh, he’ll wait. He doesn’t have a lot going on anyway.” He glances at his phone and responds to a text message. “Okay, well I’m going to catch Melanie before she heads off to her next class. I’ll talk to you later, okay?” “Okay. Tell her I’ll see her in English.” “I will.” He waves at me as he heads off to go get his girlfriend. At that moment, I realize that my feelings for Duke are purely one-sided and I need to get a grip on them. A single tear escapes and I quickly wipe it away. I promised myself that I wouldn’t stand in the way of Duke and Melanie. I’m not like that and I refuse to be the reason for a breakup. Their friendship means so much to me and I won’t ruin it. Maybe I should go out with Taylor, but how can I with Craig being home? Hopefully, he has a conference coming up soon and will have to go out of town. I’m going to have to find a way to explain this to Taylor. I hope he’ll understand. I grab my cell phone and send a quick text to him. Me: Meet me at work tomorrow. I head down the hallway, making my way to endure the next final in line. A few minutes later, I hear my phone beep with an incoming text notification. I grab my cell to read the message sent from Taylor. Taylor: So, is that a yes? I laugh to myself. He always gets a head of himself. Me: It’s a maybe. I’d like to take things slow so if you want come visit me at work. Taylor: Of course! What time is your shift? Me: From 11-7 Taylor: Okay, I’ll see you there. Maybe we can do lunch? Me: Yeah, that sounds good. See ya tomorrow. J Taylor: See ya then sweetie ;) I smile at his text and think about seeing him tomorrow. He really is a nice guy and maybe I should listen to Duke and give him a chance. My hopes and wishes are slowly diminishing and I can use any bit of happiness I can get right now. Maybe Taylor is just what I need.

Doppelganger 2: On the Run

Excerpt #1

I turned the radio up a little louder. It was a song by Lady Gaga and I liked it. I also needed to be distracted from my thoughts. I started singing along to the song in my head. There was no way I was going to sing out loud and embarrass myself in front of the others, but I needed something to make me stop thinking about Finn and Aedan and doppelgangers. The doppelgangers. My hands started shaking again. I tried to regain control. I could not think about them. Well, I couldn't not think about them either, but I could try to distract myself. It was better that I think about Aedan and Finn or better yet Lady Gaga and the song on the radio.
I stared ahead at the road. The song changed. I didn't know the song so I couldn't sing along. I forced myself to listen to the words as a distraction. It was a love song. I tried not to look back at Finn. I focused on the road. It was never ending. I looked at the clock. Two hours left driving. I could make it. The song changed to one I knew. I sang along to the song on the radio under my breath. Stay awake. Stay awake. Stay awake and don't think about doppelgangers.
That was when I saw the flashing red lights behind me. Adrenaline flooded my body. Suddenly being awake wasn't a problem.

Excerpt #2

"It's at the bottom of my neck, just below my shirt line," I said turning my head to look back at Finn.
I was surprised to find him right behind me. I felt my breath catch at meeting his eyes. Our faces were only inches apart. His eyes were so emerald green. I quickly turned my head back around hoping that nobody noticed that my cheeks were turning bright pink.
"Okay," Finn said a moment later. "I'm...starting."
A second later I felt Finn's hands moving the hair from the back of my neck before I could get a chance to do it. My breath caught. Then I felt the back of the neck of my shirt pull down as Finn looked for the telltale doppelganger bump. His fingers brushed my neck. I felt chills run up my spine and goosebumps that I hoped nobody noticed ran up my arms. I tried to stay as still as I could. Finn's fingers ran over the bump as if to check and make sure it was real. I didn't move. My stomach was doing summersaults. I hoped my crush wasn't obvious to the others. Please, oh please, oh please.

EXCERPT

Stepping over the threshold, within inches of his reach, I removed my shoes and waited. He simply pulled me inside, shutting the door, and set the wine bottle and my purse aside on the hall table.
His silence buzzed through me with pleasurable tingles.
He cupped my face, tilting my head to the side. I closed my eyes, breathing in his scent. Adrian’s mouth brushed mine and my hands fell to my sides. His lips traced along the bow of my upper lip before his tongue dipped inside. I opened wider. He slowly walked backward. My foot brushed against his every few steps. Keeping my eyes closed, I followed wherever he led me until a hard surface touched my back. By this point there was nothing innocent about the way his mouth was dominating me. I heard myself moan and whimper pure lust with each breath. My hand lowered to his jeans and curved around his arousal, stroking the hard length underneath. I wasn’t sure what came over me, but I was so desperate for him, for us, I could no longer control my body. His hips pressed in as he groaned inside my mouth.
When he pulled away, his gaze bored through me with penetrating heat. If he had wanted to, he could have melted those buttons right off my dress. Adrian took me by my waist and lifted me up to the kitchen counter. His fingers slowly trailed down my nose, over my lips and chin, and then along the middle of my neck and upper swell of my breasts until he reached the buttons on my dress. My chest swelled, and all I could think about was how fast he could get this dress off me. With each passing second I found it more difficult to breathe. The fabric was restraining me as if I were locked away in a coffin.
Unfasten these damned buttons! my mind screamed, but my mouth couldn’t form a coherent sentence.
But the eager fingers from our teens now had unbelievably arousing patience and experience. Adrian undid the top button open and I looked down, following the movement of his hands.
He stole a lingering kiss again, and then flicked open one button after another, trailing a downward path until he reached the hem. Parting the fabric to the sides, he took me in, slowly scanning my body.
“You wore white the first time we made love.”
“I know.”
Everything inside me turned and twisted into knots of nerves. As he watched me, my chest tightened inside yet swelled on the outside. The heat coming off his breath and skin was too much and not enough at the same time. My cleavage and stomach were partly exposed for him, and I couldn’t help but hold my breath.
The skim of his fingers down my arms as he admired every inch of my skin sent beautiful tingles through my body. Adrian seemed in no hurry. I grasped the hem of his shirt, lifted it up and off his torso, and then pushed my dress from underneath me and moved it to the side. It fluttered to the ground, freeing my hips and legs.
And as we stared at each other, I knew that there was no one else I had ever wanted more than him. He was the soulmate I’d once lost and been lucky enough to find again. That little piece of my heart I’d locked him away in had begun expanding the moment he reappeared in my life.
Looking at him now, I couldn’t believe how much his body had changed over the past twenty years. I held my breath, admiring the marvel of a man he’d become. His naturally toned torso and sun-kissed skin mesmerized me. The tattoo weaving up his upper arm hid beyond his shoulder and all I could think about was the need for my tongue to trace those dark lines and for my lips to kiss the new patterns inked over his skin. I wanted to throw myself at his hips, wrap my legs around him, and feel him dive into me. How in the world did he have so much control? Or did he do this on purpose? It was as if he compelled me to inspect his pecs and abs and that beautiful path, sprinkled with a shadow of hair, that led beyond the buckle of his pants, just to excite me. I devoured his taut body as he leaned forward, splaying his hands against the counter at the side of my thighs. His thumbs gently brushed against my hips. The flex of his arms and that sexy way he had of focusing just on me—really, really looking at me—made me hungry for more than just baked apples.
“There, that’s much better.” He leaned in and kissed me. “Hi, Thumbelina.”

“Hello.”

Treachery lies behind the closed doors of British government’s most secret services, and when Pandora finds herself an innocent victim of a treason plot, she has nowhere left to turn.

At least that’s what she assumes.

Stalked by a ruthlessly logical cyber terrorist who follows her every intimate move, and who then has her kidnapped, she is thrown into a tornado of action-packed and violent world events.

Pandora’s only chance of safety will depend on a man who has no empathy, no sense of justice or obligation. A man who can destroy lives from his laptop.

Who is “Dragon” and why is he feared by so many?

Captor, or saviour? In a passionate story of intrigue and espionage, Pandora is about to discover nothing can be assumed about anyone. Even herself.

EXCERPT

There was a loud bang followed by a rattle of sounds. Horrified, Pandora realised it was gunfire. She wriggled round, looking about her in a panic. The barrage of bullets was coming from outside, splintering wood and punching holes in metal. Something exploded, filling the compartment with smoke.

“Down!”

The policeman’s heavy hand was keeping her flat on the bench but she could see white-shirt sitting opposite them had pulled out a gun. He was firing through the window. The sound was deafening.
